Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is garnering much love and appreciation for his brilliant stint in ‘Brahmastra’ which has minted over Rs. 143 crores in India at the box office. Although the Ayan Mukerji directorial opened to mixed reviews, Ranbir’s chemistry with Alia Bhatt and acting chops impressed everyone. However, did you know before Brahmastra, RK was offered a second lead role in the popular ‘Star Wars’ franchise? Yes, you read that right! However, Ranbir turned it down just because he was asked to give an audition for it.

As per a report in Etimes, the Rockstar actor in an interview had mentioned that he was offered the role of the second lead in ‘Star Wars’ but he refused to do it because of his 'auditioning fear'. Ranbir confessed to having a fear of giving auditions. The actor feels that for him it’s more like a fear of not having that much faith in his talent. Not just this, the dad-to-be stated that he prefers to make his own ‘Star Wars’ with Ayan Mukerji as he believes that the filmmaker is no less than a JJ Abrams or a George Lucas. ALSO READ: OMG! And, it won’t be wrong to say that Ranbir has fulfilled this desire as he now has his own superhero movie, ‘Brahmastra’ where he played Shiva, a man with supernatural powers. The film also starred his wife Alia Bhatt as the main female lead, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni. The fantasy action-adventure film is the first installment of a planned trilogy of a cinematic universe titled Astraverse.

 ‘Brahmastra’ jointly produced by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta was released on 9th September 2022.
